Mokpo, South Korea
When me or Jaeeun are asked about our how we met we both get a big grin on our faces. The answer is a little surprising but makes for a good story. I was going out to dinner with some of my friends in Mokpo, South Korea. We ate some gamjatang (potato stew), my favorite Korean meal. After we ate my friends said we were going to a night club, at 10 P.M.! We would be going to the famed Gwang Night if Mokpo... Location: Gwang Night
Time: Perhaps 11:30 P.M.
Mood: Dull and awkward

Just like you see in the movies I saw her walk in with her friends. My eyes were like a homing beacon to her. I followed her as she walked all the way in and sat at the table next to ours. Over the next 30 or so minutes the employees at the club tried to get her to move to other tables to talk to the Korean guys who requested her presence. (At some Korean clubs it is common for men to "order" or "buy" girls in attendance to come and talk with them. Needless to say most Korean men of my age are somewhat timid and nothing really gets accomplished). Jaeeun put up a good fight to resist the employees. I told them to leave her alone (She claims she didn't hear me). So over the next 30 minutes I sat contemplating my next move. The logical choice is obvious to try and talk. So...
With a little help from my friend Mandi I sat down next to her (very unKyle like, not common at all, in fact probably the first time in recorded history I did something like this). I introduced myself and got her phone number, we danced a little (very unKyle like). Later we met up at the foreigner hangout, Moe's, for a game of darts and small talk. Then, I finally had to let her go.
This was our beginning...
